I am a trauma-informed therapist, coach and neurodiversity specialist, offering online sessions and face to face sessions from therapy rooms in Croxley Green (near Watford, Herts).
The course of my life has been a little bumpy and I learnt, first-hand, early on that a person’s well-being can be very fragile and easily knocked off course by events – I wish I had access then to therapy, as I would have discovered who I was able to be far earlier on in my life. I am also part of a wonderful, extended neurodiverse family and I so appreciate the joys, but also the difficulties this can bring.
I love supporting my clients, both young people and adults, to find out how they have the resources within them to achieve positive change in their lives. I understand how challenging it can be to find the right help, from the right person; you are unique and so is the way you experience your issue.
I support issues such as anxiety, depression, phobias, addiction, confidence, performance and sleep issues. When working with younger clients I also work closely with parents to help understand how they can support the therapeutic journey to ensure lasting change.
I offer all prospective clients a free, 30-minute call or Zoom session to help them decide if I am the right therapist for them.

We instantly felt at ease with her friendly nature and her knowledge on the issues our son has and her plan as to how she could help
JT, London, May 2021: Cathy has been helping my 11 year old son understand and conquer his crippling anxiety. My son came to me a few months ago and confided that he was struggling quite badly with his time at school with panic attacks and negative thoughts. We tried to deal with it as a family but it soon became apparent that this problem was snowballing quite quickly beyond our control. A friend recommended Cathy, so we made the call of enquiry and had a chat over zoom to explain our son’s issues and see whether Cathy could help. We instantly felt at ease with her friendly nature and her knowledge on the issues our son has and her plan as to how she could help. We signed up for sessions and our son now attends school with the tools of being able to manage any bad thoughts he may have. I highly recommend Cathy if you want a therapist who cares, listens and will help.

Cathy is an exceptional therapist. She has really seen it all and operates with total empathy and zero shame
AP, USA, September 2021: Cathy is an exceptional therapist. She has really seen it all and operates with total empathy and zero shame. Our child has PTSD and a host of other diagnoses that make it difficult for her to connect with a therapist. Cathy went above and beyond to establish a connection and make her feel seen.

Cathy was a godsend…she listened to everything I had to say and communicated to all the professionals involved, taking all my stress and upset away
MH, Hertfordshire, December 2021: I was in a situation with school not listening to me. I needed help for me with my son and our ongoing battle with school not understanding his needs. Cathy was recommended to me at a really crucial time, when my son’s schooling needs were not being met and his mental health was at an all-time low…as was mine. Cathy was a godsend…she listened to everything I had to say and communicated to all the professionals involved, taking all my stress and upset away. She worked so hard to make the wrongs right and has achieved this. Not only that, but Cathy also gave me the confidence back to be my son’s voice again. She was also a very valuable part of my sons EHCP review and as a result of her dedication and determination we were able to secure an accurately worded EHCP. As a result, my son has now been placed in a specialist provision for Y7, which had previously refused by the LA. I will be forever grateful to Cathy for her help, support, and care during my very tricky situation.

My daughter is using the techniques she has learnt and they are making a difference to her life
ED, Oxfordshire, June 2023: My 10 year old child was suffering with debilitating OCD when we started online sessions with Cathy. She made her feel at ease, explained everything clearly and concisely and worked with her in a way that was patient and sympathetic to her as a bright, neurodivergent individual. Cathy guided her through some tricky emotions and achieved very good results in a relatively short space of time. My daughter is using the techniques she has learnt and they are making a difference to her life. I cannot thank her enough, nor recommend her highly enough. Thank you!

I have been able to overcome many issues that I never thought were possible through Cathy’s unique techniques
FP, London, June 2023: I have been talking to Cathy for a couple of years now and I have been finding it extremely useful. Over the years I have seen many different therapists and Cathy has been by far the best and most effective . I have been able to overcome many issues that I never thought were possible through Cathy’s unique techniques. I have felt that Cathy has really taken the time to listen to my problems and think thoroughly about what methods would best benefit me , rather than having a “one fits all” approach. I would highly recommend Cathy !

Cathy was the first professional to really get her and actually communicate with her in a way that she respected and would listen to
SK, London, May 2023: We began seeing Cathy as our 10 year old daughter who has ADHD, was suffering from anxiety, suspected depression and a lot of anger and resentment. Having previously seen numerous therapists, Cathy was the first professional to really get her and actually communicate with her in a way that she respected and would listen to. Cathy’s straight talking approach is absolutely key to the success and progress that we have seen and her ability to relate to our daughter enabled a good relationship of mutual respect to be formed. These things are of course a long journey but we absolutely believe that Cathy has been able to help identify some root causes of the issues at hand and address them head on and has helped make our daughter a much happier little girl. We have done already and will absolutely continue to recommend Cathy.

Cathy also has a good sense of humour, which helped me to relax more
IH, Hertfordshire, May 2023: I have found my sessions with Cathy very helpful in starting to try to manage my anxiety. I have learnt lots about how my body responds to situations I find difficult. She has given me some practical things to try to do in these situations too. Cathy also has a good sense of humour, which helped me to relax more! I would definitely recommend Cathy to other young people like me, who are anxious too.

Overall the experience has been very positive and everyone is in a far better place now than at the start of the sessions.
DB, Essex, May 2023: As parents to a child experiencing a turbulent period in their life the sessions have opened up better lines of communication between us. There is greater confidence and patience, understanding and going forward better strategies in place to deal with the inevitable hiccups. Overall the experience has been very positive and everyone is in a far better place now than at the start of the sessions.

Cathy’s support has helped my daughter to understand herself and find her voice
RF, Hertfordshire, Feb 2023: Cathy’s support has helped my daughter to understand herself and find her voice. To find a therapist who I trust to support my daughter has been difficult. Cathy put both my daughter and I at ease and both her knowledge, manner and the way she works have been brilliant. I have recommended her to clients, colleagues and friends

confidence to return to University and he has now successfully completed his first term
JJ, Hertfordshire, January 2023: My son came to Cathy suffering with lack of confidence and self esteem. He felt depressed, very stressed and lacking energy as a result. After a few sessions with Cathy, my wife and I could see the dramatic improvement in his wellbeing. This gave him the confidence to return to University and he has now successfully completed his first term. Once again, many thanks to you Cathy.

This has dramatically changed how I interact with my daughter
KA, Hertfordshire, May 2022: I would highly recommend Cathy.
I originally approached her for advice on helping my teenage daughter, but soon found that the best way of assisting her was to deal with my own issues. I’ve had counselling in the past, which was helpful. However, I felt like I’d only ever got to the stage of understanding my problem, rather than ever finding a solution and moving forwards. Cathy was brilliant in this respect. Her techniques and exercises enabled me to better understand why I behave as I do, and to quickly adopt more constructive behaviours and ways of thinking. By way of example, I am letting life ‘happen’ more, rather than constantly trying to pre-empt and control every situation that might be difficult. ’ve also found that I’m able to like and value myself more, and take things less personally.
This has dramatically changed how I interact with my daughter, and led me to be much less of a ‘people pleaser’. Finally, I wanted to say how much I appreciated Cathy’s down to earth style. She was caring, but also pragmatic and honest. Her sessions were challenging, but in a good way and I’ve grown more than I could have hoped for. Thank you Cathy
